Learning fundamental skills and advancing to the next level is nearly impossible on a sub-par instrument (and the market is flooded with those). The English D2 model, on the other hand, provides an excellent choice for beginners as well as intermediate players who desire a quality ukulele at an affordable price. In fact, the D2 could very well serve as the only uke you’ll ever need.

  • 21" soprano size
  • Mahogany neck, top, back and sides
  • Rosewood fretboard with inlaid position markers
  • Black die-cast machine heads
  • Abalone sound hole surround inlay
  • Top and back body binding
  • Rosewood bridge
  • Ox bone nut and saddle
  • Two strap buttons
  • High-gloss, black stain finish with deep, rich mahogany tones
  • Aquila strings

Like the custom English D Special the D2 is solid mahogany, which resonates more freely than the laminated wood (plywood) found on most cheaper ukuleles, giving it more warmth, bass, and volume.
